TDAP organizes seminar on women in commerce

KARACHI: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), in collaboration with the International Trade Center (ITC), organized a seminar on “Women in Trade: Preparing for Export 101” at the Chamber of Commerce and of Quetta Industry for the Capacity-Building of Women Entrepreneurs in Pakistan, a statement said on Monday.

This was the second in a series of seminars planned across Pakistan, leading up to the next Wexnet exhibition scheduled for February 2022 in Lahore.

Dr Shumaila Sikandar, Deputy Director of TDAP, briefed on the incentives provided by the authority to empower women to join the trade.

Muhammad Shoaib Zafar, Trade Policy Advisor, ITC-ReMIT, presented the technical assistance under the Income Mobilization Investment and Trade Project (ReMIT) and the activities carried out, especially for women entrepreneurs in the Pakistan.

Renowned actress and entrepreneur Zeba Bakhtiar highlighted the potential of women entrepreneurs in the region.

Adeel Haider Mankee, ITC Consultant, gave a presentation on Market and Product Research, Product Development, Business Modeling, Business / Tax Registration, Marketing Tools, Procedures Related to export, logistics and payment process.
