Shincheonji Bible Seminar on “What Jesus Said Is Achieved In Today’s World”

Amid a worldwide decline in the religious population, a clear explanation of the Bible has drawn over 140,000 believers to the church and the attention of millions.

“Shincheonji Online Seminar: Witness to Heaven’s Secret Parables and Their True Meanings” is organized by the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of Witness. This series of seminars focused on understanding the parables written in the Bible in the New Testament will be broadcast live on Youtube every Monday and Thursday at 10 a.m. (GMT + 9) from January 3 to March 28.

“Parables are the key to understanding the secrets of the kingdom of heaven. Old Testament prophecy was fulfilled in Jesus’ day when he first came. Now Jesus has allowed his New Testament prophecy to be fulfilled “when the time comes” (John 16:25). We are moving towards the true meaning as the prophecy is revealed, ”said a church official.

Previous seminars on the Book of Revelation in the past three months on YouTube have been broadcast in 24 languages and have reached 7 million views in 136 countries including 16,000 pastors as participants. The Shincheonji Church of Jesus said 1,200 world church leaders in 57 countries have signed memoranda of understanding with the church to strengthen international cooperation and exchanges for educational support.

As for the signing, Pastor Jerry Hagerman of Wayside Mission Church in Virginia, USA, said, “I want to be able to grow in the word and I want to teach our congregation… and help move them from death to the life. I want to be one with the kingdom of God and have open communication.

In a recent report released in December 2021 by the Peu Research Center’s National Benchmark Public Opinion Surveys, 3 in 10 adults in the United States are no longer affiliated with a religion. The most affected in the fall of the religious population is the Protestant among the Christian denominations which posted a constant decrease from 52% in 2007 to 40% in 2021.

This trend is also mirrored by another survey from Lifeway Research in Nashville which says most Americans take Jesus as historical fact but religiously have no Biblical knowledge of why he came. According to the report, only 9% of 1,005 respondents knew its mission was to give open words (fulfillment) of the Old Testament.

On the other side of the globe, an increasing number of people are affiliated with religion. In contrast to the decline in traditional denominations, more than 140,000 people have joined the Shincheonji Church of Jesus after the Bible education class since 2019 and the COVID-19 that followed.

The head of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus said, “Across the world, more and more people are suffering from illnesses, disasters and hardships due to COVID-19, thinking deeply about the meaning of life and suffering. . Religion must be able to provide answers to these people. In the religious world where face-to-face activities are limited, education should reach every individual in local communities.

“What the Shincheonji Church appeals to people is the clear explanation of Jesus’ mission in the New Testament,” he continued.
