Central Saanich offers a series of free workshops to help local businesses recruit and retain employees

Online series begins January 20 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Free online workshops to support local businesses affected by the pandemic are coming soon.

Provided by the Central Saanich District, the workshops begin Jan. 20 and the first topic to be discussed is recruiting and retaining employees from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Human Resources Specialist Ginger Brunner will lead the first presentation discussing the impact COVID-19 has had on workplace expectations.

Brunner will also guide workshop participants on vacancies and how to adjust them, and the role of training in employee engagement.

Recruiting and retaining employees are the most common issues the district has heard that businesses grapple with, Central Saanich Mayor Ryan Windsor said.

“The workshop series is an opportunity for the district to connect businesses with resource information and collaboration on a variety of topics,” Windsor added.

To register for this event, visit the district website at centralsaanich.ca.
