1. Crochet – Intermediate Workshop with Nicola the Yarn Lady

This workshop is perfect for those who already know the basics of crochet and need more to improve their skills. Each intermediate workshop is different according to the needs of the participants. Maybe you’d like to learn how to change colors or how to double crochet forward and back. Maybe you want to perfect your popcorn stitches or puff stitches. 2. Knit a great scarf and hat (beginner class)

Date: Sunday, May 29

Have your head and neck recently suffered from the onset of winter? Then this workshop is for you. This beginner’s class, led by accomplished knitter Gloria, is ideal for those who have never touched a needle before, but want to learn this useful skill. Not only does knitting provide you with clothes, but it’s also an amazing activity that helps with depression and mindfulness.

3. Sunset in Africa – Art for Beginners

When: Saturday, June 4

Learn how to capture the beautiful orange, yellow and pink hues of an African sunset. This is a beginners course where you will be introduced to acrylic painting and some amazing painting techniques.

4. Cold Soap Making – A Calendula Infused Face Soap with Clay (Beginners Class)

When: Saturday June 11

Learning how to make handmade soap will not only allow you to produce your own skincare product, but it’s also a fabulous hobby and can even be a successful business. In this workshop, clients will learn how to make calendula-infused facial soap with porcelain clay, which can be used as a gentle exfoliator. The course also includes a PDF manual to take home afterwards.

5. Learn the art of macrame (knotting) and make a macrame hanging plant hanger

Date: Saturday, June 18

In this two and a half hour workshop, you will learn three fundamental macrame knots that will allow you to make your own macrame plant hanger. The three knots you will learn are the gathering knot, the square knot, and the spiral knot, and how to combine these knots to create a plant hanger of your own design. Please note that the flower pot is not included.
